Obaseki’s plans to free Hoodlums caught with firearms at EDHA BACKFIRES as court remands 7 suspects
On August 6, 2020, seven hoodlums were arrested with firearms at the Edo State House Of Assembly Complex.
The hoodlums were on a mission to cause mayhem and public disturbance including inflicting injuries on elected lawmakers during a plenary session.
These hoodlums were seen brandishing weapons while thugs allegedly sent by Obaseki were busy carrying out massive destruction on the EDHA premises.
Yesterday these seven CRIMINALS were remanded in prison custody.
The seven suspects who appeared before the Court presided over by Justice Efe Ikponmwonba are being prosecuted for illegal possession of firearms and disturbance of public peace.
The suspects are Festus Agbonrenren (25), Odion Osayande (23), Ogbeiwe Wilfred (52), Morgan Uwaigboe (47), Osayomore Salami (25), Ifeoluwa Oladele (36) and Iginobaro Collins (26).
Obaseki’s attempt to free the suspects met a brick wall as all attempts to secure their bail proved abortive even with the high powered delegation sent by Obaseki to defend the suspected criminals.
Of recent Edo residents have been lamenting the frequent use of thugs and hoodlums by Godwin Obaseki in an attempt to muscle the opposition in the State.
