In a release signed by the PPRO Abia command, Ogbonna Geoffrey and made available to 9News Nigeria on Tuesday, the planned hijack negates the principle of peace loving and Christian nature of the deceased in according them befitting burial as respected traditional leader and knights of the Christendom.

He also alleged that this has caused tension among indigenes and residents in Afaraukwu, Umuahia whom he said have started leaving the community.

“The presence of security officials in and around the Community should not be seen as the threat but a proactive measure to prevent the infiltration of miscreants and hoodlums into the community to actualize their intentions of truncating the burial process and peace hither-to enjoyed by the peace loving people of Afara Community and Abia State at large.
