Alh Muazu Abubakar Magarya father of Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly has been confirmed dead in the custody of his captors.
Margarya was abducted on August 5, 2021 when bandits in their hundreds stormed Magarya town in Zurmi Emirate Council of Zamfara State and kidnapped many people including Hauwau Muazu Magarya his wife who had three weeks old baby and the deceased brother Malam Saraki Magarya.
The news of the death of the Speaker’s father was leaked to the Press by the brother of the deceased Malam Dahiru Saraki Magarya who was abducted along with the late Muazu Abubakar Magarya.
“Malam Magarya said it was one of the bandits kingpin popularly known as Kachalla that informed him a day to their rescue by the security that his brother has died in their captivity due to heart failure”.
“Although, we were separated when they kidnapped us, they took my brother to other camps, but it was Kachalla, one of the commanders of the Bandits who told me about the death of my brother as a result of heart attack few hours to our rescue”.
