FC Barcelona are pushing to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal for a fee in the region of £25 million, but Manchester United are holding out for closer to £40 million
United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly unwilling to sanction to cut-price exit, aware that Rashford’s strong form at Barca, could inflate his market value further, especially with the World Cup fast approaching.
Sources close to the player indicate that Rashford has no plans to return to Old Trafford.
His relationship with the club appears stained, with United legend Paul Scoles recently branding him” a disgrace”.
