The Executive Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Council (AMAC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Christopher Zakka Maikalugu, has defected to All Progressives Congress (APC).
Maikalugu joined the ruling party from the embattled Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday.
A Pro-democracy activist, Bitrus Lawrence Garki, announced the defection in a Facebook post on Thursday.
According to the post, Maikalugu was received into the All Progressives Congress, APC by the party’s officials and stakeholders in Garki electoral Ward.
The defection Garki said was a valuable and valid addition to the All Progressives Congress, demonstrating the progressive stance of the party in AMAC.
