Judges of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will from Dec. 22 proceed on a two-week Christmas and New Year vacation.
The vacation will end on Jan. 2 2026, while judges will begin regular sittings in their various divisions of the court from Jan. 5, 2026.
The vacation was declared by the FCT Chief Judge, Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf, in a memo addressed to all the judges of the court, dated December 2.
According to the memo, the CJ declared the vacation pursuant to the provisions of Order 48 Rule 4(c) of the extant Rules of the Court.

Justice Baba-Yusuf then wished the judges and staff of the FCT High Court a fulfilled Christmas and prosperous New Year.
