The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and other party leaders, have opened a National Situation Room to monitor Saturday’s FCT Area Council elections.
9news Nigeria reports that the situation room, situated at the party’s national secretariat, is receiving real-time reports from party monitors deployed across polling units within the FCT.
This, according to the party’s leadership, is to ensure effective observation and prompt response to developments during the elections.
The election was conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 2,822 polling units across 62 wards in the six area councils of the FCT.
The area council include: Abaji, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, and Kwali.
