His Royal Highness HRH EZE Morrison SJ EKE PhD, Omadike of Umuoma Nekede Autonomous Community in Owerri West Local Government area of Imo State Nigeria with a high delegation of dignitaries, paid a condolence visit to the Family of Late Mr Desmond Oparaku, a one time Deputy Rector (Admin ) of the prestigious Federal Polytechnic Nekede Fedponek Owerri.
9News Nigeria correspodent in Owerri gathered that it was a rude shock to the Management and staff of Federal Polytechnic Nekede FEDPONEK Owerri and the hospitable people of Umuoma Nekede Autonomous community in Owerri West Imo state at the news of his death.
However the date of his burial will be released by the Oparaku family and communicated to the public while preparation for his funeral continues.
The Monarch expressed sadness on such a great loss of a First-class illustrious Son of Nekede and asked the family to take solace in God.
However, the Royal condolence visit was at the late Desmond Oparaku’s country home in Umuezerokam Umuoma Nekede.
While speaking at the visit, Eze Omadike condoled with the widow of the late illustrious son of Umuoma Nekede, Mr Desmond Oparaku who died recently after a protracted illness.
Mr Oparaku was a one time Deputy Rector (Admin ) of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede and before he died , was a high ranking Director in the institution.
Omadike was accompanied on the visit by the community’s Traditional Prime Minister & a retired Permanent Secretary in the Imo State Civil Service – Nze Chris Aharanwa , the Royal Cabinet Chairman, the President General and other community leaders in Umuoma like Deacon Tony Ajoku , Ifeanyi Obiyor and Elder Uk Amadi.
The photos in this report showed the delegation with the widow of late Mr Oparaku and Omadike as he signed the condolence register at the home of the deceased.
Moreso, prayer was offered to the family while reactions were ably captured. Traditional prime minister Nze Obinna Aharanwa, Hon. Elder Tony Ajoku TACO, PG Uche NWANERI, PA Kelechi Oparanozie, Nze Amadi and the community PRO AMB Princely Onyenwe were all present to commiserate with the Oparaku’s family.
The date of his burial will be communicated by the family as gathered by 9News Nigeria Owerri.
