The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Dr. Heineken Lokpobiri, has highlighted the significant strides made by the Bola Tinubu-led administration in reforming Nigeria’s oil sector to ensure long-term prosperity for all Nigerians.
Speaking at the Nigerian Petroleum Industry Leadership Discourse, organized by Heirs Energies on Friday, Lokpobiri emphasized that the federal government’s ongoing reforms are designed to unlock vast opportunities in the oil industry while fostering mutually beneficial partnerships between Nigeria and investors.
“The forum provided an important platform for industry players to engage in robust discussions aimed at advancing Nigeria’s oil sector.
“I underscored the significant progress we have made in transforming our oil industry to ensure lasting prosperity for all Nigerians.” The minister stated
He further noted that the Tinubu administration remains committed to enhancing the investment climate in the sector by implementing policies that promote business growth and ensure the security of oil installations.
“Our initiatives are carefully designed to create an enabling environment, ensuring safety across oil installations and implementing policies that drive business growth.
“The Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains steadfast in its commitment to boosting the investment landscape,” Lokpobiri said.
He also encouraged investors to take advantage of the sector’s potential, stressing that increased production and revenue generation remain critical to Nigeria’s economic progress.
“This is crucial in our efforts to ramp up production and increase revenue generation.
“As such, I am encouraging investors to tap into the immense potential within our oil industry, driving progress and fostering sustainable growth for the benefit of all stakeholders involved,” he added.
