The Federation Account received N1.3 trillion in revenue from the NCS in the form of import and excise taxes, fees, and levies.
Compared to the N1.003 trillion collected during the same period last year, this indicates an increase of N289.4 billion or a 28.83 percent growth rate.
The manufactured, sale, and use of products subject to excise control, such as but not limited to beer, spirits, alcoholic drinks, tobacco, and cigarettes, are subject to an excise duty collected across the nation.
The Service has also stated that it will soon start collecting the new phone and data rates that Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning Zainab Ahmed announced

Bomodi also added that the NCS had started collecting revenue from producers of carbonated and sugary drinks, which had just been added under schedule 5 of the Common External Tariff – CET
