SECURITY: In Mauritania the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Mohammadu Buhari stated that he invested a whooping sum one billion united state dollars to curb terrorist attack and boko haram insurgence in Nigeria.

The above presidential statement was made openly at a decoration of African Union AU Peace Award honours on Buhari by the Mauritania government as one among the best President in Africa, 9News Nigeria reports.

While receiving the peace award, President Buhari mentioned that 1Billion United States Dollars was released by his All Progressives Congress APC led government for the purpose of mobilizing sophisticated weapons to stop insurgence in the North East and other Communities in the country.

President maybe described as an open minded person because he is not typically known as a politician and so therefore may have approved the said money as stated.

Regrettedly the disbursement and usage are far fetched from the eyes of NIGERIANs particularly those that are suffering attacks from Boko Haram, bandits and the newly connoted unknown gunmen.

The aim of releasing such whooping sum is to curb Insecurity and not to be misused or diverted by the lieutenants of the President.

Also, the interest of these mentioned groups of bandits, Boko Haram and unknown Gunmen is to set the country backwards and to make such a shoddy business a lucrative one.

Till date, where the money released by the federal government went cannot be well defined and Insecurity has kept increasing across the states of the federation.

9News Nigeria reports that Mr President has thought well to endorse for the release of one billion dollars to fight insurgency but the effects are yet to be seen.

The question has been, since Federal Government have released the said huge money, it mean that the president is focused and sensible to improve the country but where is the money?

The Senate is suppose to call for an emergency summon of the ministry responsible for disbursement and implementation for explanation, 9News Nigeria suggests.

Boko haram is still residing in the Zambisa Forest and have continued the abduction and Kill!ng of innocent citizens carelessly.

The Army, Air Force, Navy and Police may have been working but measuring the level of insurgence bedevilling the country, it is as if the bandits have more sophisticated and destructive Weapons than the Country. If this thinking is true, then the country has failed on combating Insecurity.

In ddition to the foregoing, the security architecture of Nigeria which comprised of the Army, Air force, Navy, Police, Vigilante groups and others are expected to be enjoying the outcome of the money released but to no avail.

Consequently, administrative decadence, tribal difference and indiscipline coupled with the state of insurgence have swallowed the money released by FG.

The luientenants of the president are the ones to clarify this issue and be able to utilize the 1B US Dollars as directed.

Since the money cannot be utilized on welfare, Armaments and upgrades of the system, NIGERIA has to revert to the constitution to punish those responsible for the pitfalls.

According to Chikwe Udensi, “The effects of the money released by FG have to be seen working because such trunk of money totaling up to 1B US Dollars can help to purchase weapon to fight insurgency headon.

“Buhari stated that areas like North East and all the communities are recovered and government has reclaimed the prone areas.

Supprisingly, the country is yet to recover those kidnapped by Boko Haram which included, innocent citizens from Kaduna, Shaibu, the Baptist school children, Chibok, Massacre in Niger state, Taraba, Yobe, Benue and others.

Enclaves still in control by the dreaded Boko Haram are held in hostage and over years FG are dilly-dallying with insurgency and Insecurity while NIGERIANs perish.

The abducted are yet to be released while the money Released to fight this war against insurgence is yet to be are not accounted for.

It may not be as functional as we were told but relating to the forthcoming general election, electorates are holding FG, INEC and the recently introduced BVAS on high esteem while praying for maximum security.

A wise saying that “He who is treating or playing with a mad man does not close his/her two eyes and ordinarily NIGERIAN are not expected to sleep amidst insecurity as the election count in days from the date of this report by 9News Nigeria investigative team.

The Interpol System Consultant, Chikwe Udensi, on a rdio chat Friday 19-01-2023, said that there are still some schemishies as to how the 1B Dollars released by President Buhari was expended.

“President Buhari is a descent personality and not a core minded Politician. He may have released such money to curb insurgence in the affected
communities but it’s positive effect is not visible having recorded reports of continous abduction and Killing of innocent citizens by bandits across the country.

It is the duty of the Federal House of representatives and the Senate to call for the explanation of where and how the 1B US Dollars released for security was used. Boko haram insurgence and other deadly terrorist groups including the “Unknown Gunmen” are not helping the country to grow.

It is expected of a good government to enforce strict compliance on serious measures to stop all these anomalies bedevilling the society.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari travelled to Mauritania for the 31st Ordinary session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government in 16-01-2023.

The award is to honour him for his leadership role in promoting peace on the continent, through regular inventions, counsel and conciliatory position.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday receive the “African Award for Strengthening Peace’’ in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
