FG says N25,000 Conditional Cash Transfer distributed to 25 million Nigerians

The Federal Government announced that 25 million Nigeria have received a N25,000 Conditional Cash Transfer.

The disclosure came from the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy, Wale Edun, during a briefing with State House Correspondents, following a National Economic Council, NEC meeting led by Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday.

Highlighting steps taken by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to ease the challenges resulting from subsidy removal and other economic reforms, Edun shared that Five million households have benefited from the direct cash transfer program.

Additionally, he revealed that within the last Five days, around 11,000 recipients have accessed N3.5 billion through the government’s consumer credit scheme.

Edun also noted that over N90 billion has been distributed to support half a million Nigerian students under the student loan initiative.
