The Minister of Finance and coordinating Minister for Economy, Wale Edun, has inspected a state-of-the-art Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) VIP bus set to be presented to the Presidential Fleet.
The vehicle, designed and manufactured in Onitsha and Lagos, is a product of collaboration among key players in Nigeria’s CNG ecosystem.
The bus was showcased in recognition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering support for the growth of the CNG industry.
Engr. Michael Oluwagbemi, the Program Director and Chief Executive of the Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGI), joined Edun during the inspection, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to promoting alternative energy solutions and boosting local manufacturing.
Industry stakeholders have lauded the initiative as a milestone in Nigeria’s transition towards cleaner, more sustainable energy sources.
The presentation of the CNG-powered VIP bus to the Presidential Fleet is expected to serve as a symbol of the country’s dedication to advancing homegrown solutions in the automotive sector.
