Anambra State Cargo Airport has received its first flight landing today, 9News Nigeria has learnt.
Air Peace Passenger plane landed in the Anambra airport on Friday making it the first flight ever to land on the new airport that is still under construction.
The passenger plane landed safely and was welcomed by a cheering crowd who were mostly locals, members of the Governor Obiano team and some APGA members.
9News Nigeria gathered that the AIR PEACE passenger plane landing was the first step in test running the newly completed runway of the airport.
It is not yet known when the airport will be fully operational as the control towers and passenger terminals are still under construction.
This is a remarkable day for NDI ANAMBRA as the impossibility has been made possible following this novel project ventured in by Chief Willie Obiano’s administration.
