FLOOD: A Decade After Mega Intervention In Borno, Kwankwaso Visits Maiduguri, Donate Millions

The former NNPP presidential candidate in the 2023 election has visited Borno State’s capital, Maiduguri to commiserate with the people of the state on the devastating flood that ravaged some parts of the state.

He landed in Maiduguri International Airport today Thursday and was recieved by his party’s stewards in Maiduguri.

Kwankwaso, also a former governor of Kano State, paid a sympathy visit to Borno State’s governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum at the Government House, Maiduguri.

He donated N50m to the state government as an intervention for flood victims.

This is coming about a decade after his mega intervention on victims of Boko-Haram insurgency in Borno.

About 100 orphans were taken from Maiduguri by the former governor for a scholarship program.

According to sources, the orphans have graduated in several fields of endeavors, in both Western and Islamic educations in Kano.

He is expected to also pay a sympathy and condolence visit to the Shehu of Borno in his palace on the victims of the flood.
