Nasarawa State High Court sitting in Doma local government council has been asked to charge immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Mr. Francis Enokela Orogu over alleged refusal to obey an order of the Court.

The Court had an interim injunction restraining the party from conducting congresses in the state following an ex parte motion filed by some members of the party led by Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onowo, PDP, Nasarawa South.

However, Ishaka Mudi Dikko, Counsel to the plaintiff on Wednesday during hearing lamented that despite the order, congresses were conducted in total disregard for the Court.

Dikko, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, urged the Court to set aside the congresses which he said was conducted in violation of the Court order since counsels to the defendants did not file counter affidavit.

Responding the counsels to the second and third respondents in the suit, M.A Jacob, Ulegede and Ishaku Kadirii who stood brief for J.J Usman, SAN, averred that their counter affidavit was filed before the Court.

On the issue of jurisdiction, Counsel to the plaintiffs, Ishaka Mudi Dikko, said the defendants misunderstood the position of the law on the matter, urging the Court to discountenance their position.

After listening to the parties involved in the case, the presiding Judge, Justice Abdullahi Hassan Shams Shammah announced December for the ruling on the applications before the Court.
