Former Nigerian Football Federation(NFF)President, Mr Amaju Pinnick sues Davido over alleged breach of contract and demands N2.3 billion.
The former president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has filed N2.3 billion suit with suit number marked EHC/183/2023 against singer Davido and his music label, Davido Music Worldwide Limited, over an alleged breach of contract at the Delta State High Court in Effurun.
In its statement of claim, the claimant stated that in early 2023, Davido approached Pinnick, at the Abuja Airport in a brief meeting and asked to be engaged for the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again Concert’ event to be held on October 6, 2023.
The claimant claimed Pinnick was hesitant to grant the request but eventually did and an agreement was reached on N70m as Davido’s performance fee.
It further states that although after the payment, Davido did a promotional video ahead of the event eventually he failed to show up on the day of the event.
It also highlighted that transportation arrangements were made for Davido in respect of the event.
Consequently, Pinnick’s company is asking for the payment of $94,500( equivalent of N70M) as full payment for engaging the services of Davido.
