Four people were injured in a serious multi-vehicle crash on Sydney’s M2 at North Rocks this afternoon.
Four cars and a truck were involved in the crash in the eastbound lanes of the M2 between Windsor and Pennant Hills roads around 4.10pm.
Helicopter footage of the crash site shows one of the cars with its roof ripped off and heavy debris strewn across the road.

A 62-year-old man was trapped in his car for 40 minutes, wedged against the truck. He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition, along with another patient in the same condition.
NSW Fire and Rescue teams worked to free another two people who were trapped. They were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

Diversions are in place leading up to the crash site.
All citybound lanes of the M2 were closed as debris was cleared from the road. Two citybound lanes, including the bus lane, are now open.
Traffic is still very heavy in both directions and buses in both directions are delayed up to 40 minutes. Citybound traffic is queued back onto the M7 in Glenwood and westbound traffic is queued back to North Ryde.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution as crash investigators, traffic crews and motorway crews are on site.
