FRSC Deploys Body Cams for Patrol Operations

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commenced the use of body cameras for its patrol officers across Nigeria.

This initiative aims to enhance transparency, improve law enforcement efficiency, and ensure the safety of both officers and road users.

The deployment of body cameras marks a significant step in modernizing traffic management and addressing concerns about misconduct and disputes during enforcement operations.

By capturing real-time footage, the technology is expected to provide clear evidence in cases of traffic violations, accidents, and encounters between officers and motorists.

FRSC officials have emphasized that the adoption of body cameras aligns with global best practices in road safety and law enforcement.

The initiative is part of the corps’ broader strategy to leverage technology in traffic management, thereby reducing confrontations between officers and road users.

Motorists are advised to cooperate with FRSC officers during routine checks.
