Veteran actor Anayo Modestus Onyekwere popularly known as Kanayo O Kanayo has blessed the first salary of his son, Clinton Onyeze, stating that a child’s first salary should be given to the father for blessings and not to pastors.

In a video on Kanayo’s Instagram account, he was seen blessing Clinton’s first salary, saying:, “I want to observe the culture of our ancestors which have led to the success of many people you see today, father’s blessings.

“Clinton Onyeze, my son, had just concluded a film production management with us and he has earned his first salary, his first salary is 50,000 naira for a movie”.

Although, he revealed that the money parent might collect from the son can vary, based on different individuals and believes that this is the proper way to do things, especially in Igbo culture.

He also believes that it is important for the father to know the exact amount the child is earning so he can teach him financial management.

In his opinion, the father is a more important authority figure than the pastor to his child.

Captioning the video, KOK wrote; “Take your first salary to your father for his blessings not your pastor. And to that pastor who said it belongs to him in a video in January, did you ever consider, the feeding, transportation to and fro the office for that month? Where is this in the Bible? Christians wake up. This is not Christianity”
