Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has awarded higher education scholarships to five students in his state to study in China.
The recipients are drawn from different local government areas of the state.
Four among them will study Clinical Medicine while the other would be enrolled into Computer Science and Technology.
Dr. Lydia Haruna Tsammanni, the state’s commissioner of Higher Education and Regional Integration, presented the scholarships to the beneficiaries on Tuesday at the government house, Bauchi.
She is also accompanied by officials of the state’s Scholarship Board during the presentation.
In her remarks, Dr. Tsammanni commended Gov. Mohammed for the gesture, noting that it is a testament to his commitment in promoting education in the state.
While congratulating the awardees, the governor also encouraged them to represent Bauchi State with dedication and commitment throughout the program.
He emphasized that the scholarships reflect his administration’s focus on investing in human capital and nurturing future leaders.
