Gov. Emmanuel declares 15 hours curfew in A’Ibom State

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has declared a-15 hour curfew in the state effective 9pm Thursday October 22 to 12 noon, Friday, October 23, 2020. The action is to contain the rising spate of #EndSARS protests which was hijacked by hoodlums Thursday and turned into a free reign of looting and distruction of private and public properties. A statement by the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Ini Ememobong said there will be complete ceasassion of movement throughout the period except for those on essential services who must have valid means of identification.

Meanwhile, hoodlums who hijacked the protests Thursday looted LG Shop and the Choice Mall along Ikot Ekpene Road and also set ablaze Access Bank and Anchor Insurance buildings along Wellington Bassey Way all in Uyo
