Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State, on Friday, announced that the state has recorded two cases of Coronavirus.
With this development, the total Coronavirus patients in the state are now seven.
Speaking on the two new cases, governor Umahi enjoined all Ebonyians to keep strict watch on the those that sneak into Ebonyi State from Epicentre States, and expressed satisfaction that the strategies adopted by Ebonyi State is working
According to him, “so far there is no case of Community transmission. All cases of COVID-19 in the state are returnees from Epicentre States who were intercepted on transit to Ebonyi State.”
Governor Umahi advised all residents of Ebonyi state to remain calm and obey the regulations and all Precautionary Measures adopted to fight the scourge of Coronavirus pandemic in the State, as there is no cause for alarm.
