Following the recent emergence of Sen. Diri Douye as the fifth governor of Bayelsa State through the declaration of the Supreme Court, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi has congratulated the brand new Governor, describing his emergence as divine.
This was made known to 9News Nigeria by the Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze.
Umahi said : “It is truly a moment of glory for you, Bayelsa State and our great party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
“It is time to entrench yet again, the democratic ideals, ethos and social values which our party is globally known for in Bayelsa State.
“That the Supreme Court okayed your victory means it is impossible to play God.
“As the expectations of Bayelsans were not dashed, clattered and shattered on the alter of brazen political desperation, I urge you to take the bull by the horn and run an all inclusive government in Bayelsa State, believing you will make your state and the People’s Democratic Party Proud.
“I am confident that your coming will herald a new dawn in Bayelsa State.
