The executive Governor of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi, on Monday, inspected the ongoing construction of Olympic Stadium in the State.
Speaking with 9news Nigeria Correspondent after the inspection, Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Mr. Francis Nwaze noted that as many mega projects are being completed by Governor David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE in Ebonyi, so as several others are getting started and speedily progressing at different levels of completion.
According to him, another dream quickly manifesting is the promise by the Governor to build a stadium that will have ability to host international football matches, a kind of stadium that is yet to be built in any part of the Nigeria apart from the Olympic Stadium that he is speedily building.
He added that in Ebonyi, no project carried out by Governor Umahi is not a standard that sets pace for others to follow. Ebonyi Projects have become contact point for other states to copy quality, well crafted and beautiful projects with exceptional finishing.
He said : “As a routine, Gov. Umahi today, 21st October, 2019 stormed the site of the ongoing construction of Ebonyi Olympic Stadium located at Centenary City, Abakaliki to check the ongoing work and ensure that contractors and site Engineers are in alignment with the standard, quality of Ebonyi Construction under Governor Umahi.”
“As at the time of filling this report, over a hundred heavy duty construction equipments including excavators, bulldozers, compactors, rollers, tippers etc were seen as there is ongoing earth filling, excavation, structural setting out etc at the site.”
