Gov. Umahi Receives Accolades, Awards, Gifts, After Delivering Lecture At UNN(Photos)

The executive Governor of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi, on Tuesday, delivered a lecture adjudged as most critical in returning Nigeria on the part of dignity and economic advancement at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, UNN.

9news Nigeria had reported that Umahi graced the event with his amiable wife, Rachael Umahi, and other top dignitaries from Ebonyi.

9news Nigeria reports that after Umahi delivered the lecture which centred on
“PREPARING EBONYI STATE FOR TOMORROW’S ZERO OIL ECONOMY”, he received accolades, awards, gifts from many organisations.

Speaking with 9news Nigeria correspondent after the lecture, the Special Assistant on New Media and Project Documentation to the Governor, Mr. Francis Nwaze described Umahi as a prayer on the lips of many states.

He noted that Gov. Umahi is a rare gem and a genius.

He said : “There were so much accolades in form of awards, gift items, etc from notable organizations to our working Governor as he stormed University of Nigeria, Nsukka on Tuesday with his wealth of Knowledge to deliver a lecture on preparing Ebonyi State for a Zero Oil Economy.”

“Truly, Governor Umahi is now a prayer on the lips of many states to have a like of him steering the wheel of leadership in their states just as he is doing in Ebonyi.”

“The picture attached in the post got me thinking. Irrespective of the fact that the camera could not capture the long queue who were following up to make present to Gov. Umahi but a sight of the struggle to show him appreciation settled my mind with the fact that there could be no better way to live a long and happy life without being good and leading by example.”

“So far, I am yet to see another governor that goes on canvas, seen on polo, mount on construction equipments, pass through the muddy roads on foot, visit construction sites even at 1:00am etc just to ensure that quality and speed are not compromised.”

“Governor Umahi is not just a construction specialist, he is filled with wisdom and he hears and obeys directives from God. These are what Professor Chukwuemeka Ike, The King of Ndikelionwu saw in him after delivering a lecture at UNN and recommend his lecture as a must read for every Nigerian and leaders of the country to enable them think towards strengthening the economy instead of depending on Oil.”
