Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has approved the indefinite suspension of Hon. Clement A. Nweke as Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development with immediate effect.
In a statement made available to 9News Nigeria by Ugbala Kenneth Igwe, Ph.D , secretary to the State Government/Coordinating
Commissioner said the indefinite suspension is as a result of insubordination and dereliction of duty.
According to the statement, “Consequently, Hon Nweke is directed to handover all governmental property in his possession to the Permanent Secretary or the most Senior officer in the Ministry before the close of work on Wednesday 11th August, 2021.”
” Please ensure strict compliance to this directive.”
