A notable Energy expert based in lagos with lots of international experience has called out the Governor of Lagos State, accusing him of looting about $32million dollars, approximately #9 billion naira within one (1) year, via the fraudulent project of providing street lights for lagosians.
Check out the Analysis/Breakdown Below:
In Feb 15 2017
Gov. Ambode told us Lagos State installed of over 47,000 poles of street lights.
See proof below via Governor Ambode official website below:

Address Delivered At The Presentation Of The Report On Embedded Power Technical Committee

Fast forward to:
March 5 2018
Gov. Ambode told us we have about 33,000 street lights in Lagos under the Lagos State Electricity Board. Kindly see proof of his statement in this link below
https://lagosstate.gov.ng/blog/2018/03/05/lagos-uk-firm-sign-n2-52billion-mou-to-provide-10000-street-lights/

What about the remaining 14, 000 street lights?
March 6 2018,
Gov Ambode said his administration used N12bn in buying diesel to power 31, 446 street lights.
Let me take you all through this brazen fraud orchestrated by the wicked leader we voted for while we clap on.
1 litre of quality diesel with better density of 0. 86 and flash point of 77 will produce more than 3kWh of energy. Standard is 3kWh.

According to the governor Lagos has powered 31, 446 street lights.
This street light from my findings are rated 250W each which is 0. 25kW.

To get the total load in Lagos using Ambode figures
31, 446 x 0. 25kW =7866.5kW
Lagos street light is always on from 7pm -5.30am daily that is 10.30hrs/day and 3759.5hrs annually.

The total energy used in a year using Gov. Ambode’s figure will be
7866. 5KW x 3759. 5hrs = 29, 574, 106.75kWh

According to Ambodes data. The energy consumption of Lagos will be 29, 574, 106. 75KWh

1 litre of diesel produces 3kWh
29, 575, 106. 75kWh will be produced by 9,858, 035.5 litres.

I litre of diesel at all time high in 2017 was averaging N225/litre.

So therefore Lagos State must have spent only N2, 218, 058, 006.2 and Not N12bn in buying diesel.
Where is Lagos state N9, 781, 941, 994? or $32m

Conclusion Based on 31,446 No’s of Street lights:
The entire 31,446 nos 250W street lights in Lagos would need 10m+ litres of diesel to run for 3760hrs in a year.
Governor Ambode bought one litre of diesel for N1200 to arrive at N12bn
