Gov. Umaru Bago of Niger has donated 100 bags of rice and 10 cows to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), to support feeding of corps members in the ongoing orientation course.

Mrs Martina Shuaibu-Ibrahim, the Coordinator of the scheme in the state, said this during the presentation of the items on Sunday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Paiko Local Government Area of the state.

She commended the governor for his committment towards improving the wellbeing of corps members posted to the state.

“This gesture shows the state government commitment towards ensuring welfare of corps members, enabling them to settle down and offer diligent service in the state,” she said.
