Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has been conferred with the traditional title of Sardaunan Matasan Arewa by the Arewa Youth and Women for Change Nigeria.
The group, led by Comrade Ibrahim Khalid Adam, also presented the governor with an Award of Excellence during a visit to the Government House, Bauchi on Monday.
Speaking during the event, Governor Mohammed emphasized the critical role of youths as future leaders, urging them to be responsible and proactive in driving societal growth and development.
While expressing concern over the deteriorating state of youth behavior in the country, the governor called for stronger youth engagement in leadership and governance, highlighted his administration’s commitment to involving youths in various aspects of governance to foster sustainable progress.
Responding, Comrade Adam praised the governor’s developmental projects across Bauchi’s 20 local government areas.
He also announced that the group’s North-East zonal office would be situated in Bauchi, further pledging to promote Governor Mohammed’s achievements and support his administration’s goals.
