Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule on Friday swore in 15 new commissioners as members of the State Executive Council.

Sule, while performing the swearing-in of the 15 commissioners at the City Hall in Lafia, the state capital on Friday, urged the new commissioners to avoid all corrupt tendencies while discharging their duties.

He said that his administration had been anchored on accountability, transparency and prudent management of resources, and therefore would not tolerate corrupt tendencies.

The Governor said the appointments of the Commissioners were possible as a result of wider consultation with stakeholders across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.

“I charge you all to be dedicated in your duties and be result-oriented. This administration is anchored on accountability, transparency and prudent management of public resources, so you should avoid all corrupt tendencies while discharging your duties” he said.

The Governor further reiterated his administration’s commitment to key into several policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the state.
