The visit of PRESIDENT BUHARI to Imo state Nigeria Owerri on Thursday 9-09-2021 was significant and commendable.
On this therefore His Excellency GOVERNOR Hope Uzodinma made a good mark for himself on the wonderful projects commissioned by Mr President.
9 News Nigeria reports that the government of Imo state under Hope Uzodinma has been able to set a template of development within a short time he assumed office as the GOVERNOR of the state.
Recall that the visit of the number one citizen of NIGERIA to Imo state came amidst undue pressure by the IPOB whose aim was targeted to counter the visit through a sit-at-home order in the south East states.
But a high sense of order, maturity and wisdom was exemplified by Mr President whose working visit to Imo state defied the IPOB sit-at-home order.
The governor of the state, therefore, showed his political capacity in the field of play to have recorded a successful outing to the chagrin of the OPPOSITIONISTs interest.
In his words, governor Uzodinma stated that it was indeed a busy and elated day as President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR came to commission various completed projects across the state.
“These projects as itemized below, have created joy and happiness in the heart of Imolites due to the long period of abandonment they suffered.
- Section one of Naze-Nekede-Ihiagwa-Obinze road.
- Flood Control Tunnel from Dick Tiger.
- Imo State Exco Complex.
- Egbeada Bypass Road (Now Iwuanyanwu Way).
He further reaffirmed that these projects, as completed and commissioned, would alleviate the difficulties people of Imo State were subjected to as a result of the lengthy period of negligence.
He however noted that a lot was ahead of the state and assured that his Government is armed to tackling and resolving all the infrastructural deficits within the shortest possible time.
Uzodinma sincerely thanked President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR for his presence and service.
He added that Imo people and Igboland at large are excited to have BUHARI.
The GOVERNOR did not mince words for the applaud he gave to Imolites who trooped out en-masse to appreciate his good works and welcome to the president.
He has earlier promised that the PHASE-2 project plan will continue Immediately without any delay or distraction to meet up with the shared prosperity government designed developmental plan to Improve Imo state.
