The Chairman of Owerri Zone and Deputy Chairman Eze Ndi Imo, HRH Eze Akujiobi David Osuagwu, has called on all other candidates vying for the November Governorship Election on other platform to collide with Uzodinma.
This advice is coming few weeks to the Imo Guber Polls after several discussions to grant Uzodinma a second term bid gained more momentum and general acceptability.
Eze Akujiobi who disclosed this to Newsmen in Owerri to explain the Charter of Equity urged all contenders to allow Governor Hope Uzodinma to finish his second term bid while stressing that Owerri and Okigwe zones will continue after him.
The Highness further stated that the Charter of Equity is not for Hope Uzodinma but for Owerri Zone and the entire Imo state. He told Newsmen that the role of media management is vital , mostly at point in time when voters are warming up to go to the field of election to vote their choice of candidates.
The Charter of Equity will favour the state having taken cognizance of the upcoming benefits to the three senatorial zones of Imo state Nigeria as 9News Nigeria political team led by Princely Onyenwe reports while adding that Owerri zone have be disenfranchised from the Governorship position since Imo state was created.
Eze Akujiobi added that the law will surely be adhered to and there will not be any altercation of it’s content or bridge of smooth rotation of Governorship slot from zone to Zone as embedded.
He however called all Imolites to understand this fact while calling on all contestants to withdraw from campaigns are encourage Governor Hope Uzodinma to succeed in his second term bid.
The monarch assured Governor Hope Uzodinma of bulk vote from Owerri Zone and urged him to continue in his good works to develop the state and empower the people.
His Royal Highness Eze Akujiobi is the traditional Ruler of Awaka kingdom in Owerri North and a vibrant administrator and statesman.
