The call on the sack of GM OCDA is dominating the front banners of newspapers and notable online blogs stating the dangers of continued retention of Engr Ikpamezie to steer the leadership of the income-generating agency like OCDA.

He was alleged of impunity by the National Leadership of the Shared Prosperity Prayer Network, ( SPPN).

In their letter sent to governor Uzodinma, the group called for the removal of Ikpamezie from his position as the OCDA boss but Ikpamezie has continued his Official work without recourse to such distractions.

The group SPPN is appealing once again to Governor Hope Uzodimma to immediately relieve the appointment of the General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority, OCDA, Mr Innocent Ikpamezie, over his alleged acts of impunity and intimidation of media houses in the state.

This is coming on the heels of several acts of misconduct and manhandling of journalists who freely express their views in a constructive manner, just because they want the Governor to succeed.

It is important to state that the clampdown on some media houses by some suspected OCDA thugs is an indication that the GM has ulterior motives, probably to run down the prosperity government of Sen Hope Uzodimma.

Also, SPPN is still in shock over the unethical way and manner some violent agents of OCDA stormed and allegedly attacked the entire staff of Reach FM simply because the radio outfit featured a programme which primarily dwelt on the ongoing demolition exercise, as it affects the churches which were allegedly built on shanties.

As a prayer group in support of the programmes of the present administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, our duty is to continue to pray for our amiable Governor to succeed and transform our dear state.

It was also gathered on strong authority that the OCDA GM has been carrying out some of these demolition exercises without getting an express approval from the Governor, an action which attempts to undermine the progress of the state government.

The group, therefore, appeal to our listening Governor to call Ikpamezie to order or better still, sack him so that he would not destroy the good name he enjoys today.

9News Nigeria reports that SPPN is a strong prayer support group for Governor Hope Uzodimma and is calling as a matter of urgency, the Immediate suspension of GM IKPAMEZIE.
