Social media users are currently intervening to save a young Nigerian businessman from committing suicide after he tweeted that today is his last day on earth.
A young Nigerian man has made a suicide threat on social media and tweeted that today is his last day on earth and that he guessed it’s good to say goodbye to planet earth.
One Ayomide Adeagbo @AyomideAdeagbo, known on social media as Mayor of Ibadan has taken to his Twitter account @AyomideAdeagbo to reveal that he is going to commit suicide today, Saturday 22nd 2021.
The young man who 9News Nigeria correspondent tracked his social media accounts and found out that he has been into cryptocurrency deals apart from his profession as a cinematographer has twitted “Today is my last day on earth,I guess its good to say goodbye to planet earth”
According to his social media profile, Ayomide is a professional Drone pilot, cinematographer, social media expert, Documentary photographer, Microbiologist.
After tweeting “Today is my last day on earth,I guess its good to say goodbye to planet earth” his friends and Twitter followers immediately responded to the message seeking to help him overcome whatever it is that caused him to decide to take his life.
But all the words from his friends and other Nigerians fell to a deaf ear as he made a second tweet after 3 minutes: ” Twitter has been a wonderful community to me but I guess I am not for this planet earth. Thank to God Thanks to my parents But I am going going back to my creator ,can’t survive this Death is better”
One social media user with the handle WeGlobe @iSellJoy replied and tweeted: “If you need money we can all donate thousands of naira for you. If you have other issues we can help solveFolded hands the earth is the beautiful place my guy”
Global Citizen – Pan African @abtel replied : “Please don’t go ahead with your plan Folded hands Stay alive Folded hands”
