Former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ike Ibe has extended heartfelt greetings and commendations to all Nigerian workers for their unwavering commitment, resilience, and sacrifices in the face of national challenges.
In a statement personally signed by the respected former Imo State lawmaker and frontline advocate for good governance, Hon. Ike Ibe described workers as the lifeblood of the nation’s development.
“Today, I salute the hardworking men and women of Nigeria whose daily efforts sustain our economy, nurture our institutions, and build the foundation of a greater tomorrow.
“Despite economic uncertainties, inflationary pressures, and structural limitations, Nigerian workers continue to demonstrate uncommon courage and patriotism.” He said.
Hon. Ibe called for better welfare, fair wages, and improved working conditions for Nigerian workers, stressing that these are not privileges but fundamental rights.
He urged both government and private sector employers to recommit to the principles of dignity in labor and equitable compensation.
The former gubernatorial candidate also used the occasion to call for unity and peaceful engagement between labor unions and government institutions, encouraging dialogue as the most effective means to resolve industrial disputes.
