The Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma has expressed his compliments to his Abia State counterpart, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu following the commissioning of a project executed by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Central Bank of Nigeria has recently executed an intervention project and built a Nigerian Naval School of Finance and Logistics College, in Owerrinta naval base, Abia State.
In a press release made available to 9News Nigeria, Governor Hope Uzodinma who also took part in the official commissioning of the epic project thereafter commended the Abia State Governor, the Chief of Naval Staff and the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele for such a great intervention project.
The Press Release states as follows:
Today, His Excellency, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Executive Governor of Abia State and I were at the Nigerian Naval School of Finance and Logistics College, Owerrinta, Naval base, Abia State for the commissioning of some Central Bank intervention projects.
I commend the Chief of Naval Staff, for the robust achievements associated with him within the short period in office, as well as the leadership of the Naval Base College in Owerrinta for making available their technical manpower for the security of the Nation, that of Imo and Abia States and for the security of lives and properties of their neighbourhood – Owerrinta.
Furthermore, I thank the Governor, Godwin Emefiele and management of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for the great intervention of building projects at the College to encourage and enhance the performance of the institution.
Some of the projects include a 300- sitting capacity Academic Complex Auditorium, E-Library, ICT office and 12 Classrooms of 40 Students capacity each. Others are: an Administrative block made up of the Commandant and Deputy Commandant Offices and other 17 additional office spaces for the Principal Officers of the College, male and female hostels, students’ dining hall, swimming pool and gymnasium.
I call on the private sector to emulate and support the Nigerian Navy in their effort towards the growth of Nigeria, in defence of our territorial waters.
