Umuonwusobara community of Ihiala in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State was agog on Tuesday night as the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District , Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah arrived the area to inspect the solar-powered street lights he provided for them. Speaking briefly, Senator Ubah thanked Ndị Ihiala for the continuous support they have been showering on him. He further maintained that the street lights were provided to protect nightlife and boost security in the area. The Senator who was accompanied by some of his supporters reassured the community and entire Anambra South that he will always use the instruments of legislation to attract quality projects to the various communities that make up the Senatorial District.
Responding on behalf of the community leaders who gathered to give a warm reception to their Senator, a member of Anambra Progressives And Development Union who is also an indigene of the area, Chief Adinnu George Okezie, thanked Senator Ubah for his giant and selfless efforts towards promoting the wellbeing of the people. Chief Okezie who is popularly known as Kezico also used the opportunity to appreciate the Senator for the selfless contributions he has made through the Anambra Progressives and Development Union to better the welfare of ndị Anambra, Igbos and Nigerians in general. According to him, the uncommon move of convening the Anambra Progressives, a group of prominent citizens led by the Senator has gone a long way in giving adequate hope to the people and has also contributed abundantly in strongly boosting the health sector of the State.. He further stated that the two ultramodern medical and isolation centers singlehandely built within ten months and handed over to the managements of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka will serve as pillars of support to the health sector of the economy. He also urged the distinguished Senator to keep the good works up and reassured him of the continuous support of the Ihiala community. Senator Ubah has also provided solar-powered street lights spanning over two kilometers for communities of Umunze and Uli of Orumba South and Ihiala Local Government Areas of Anambra State respectively.
