The House of Representatives has on Wednesday held a valedictory session for the outgoing Clerk of the House Mr. Patrick Giwa, who retired from the service of the National Assembly.
During the session, Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila urged Mr. Giwa to be a “good” ambassador of the legislature wherever he finds himself.
The Speaker and members said kind words about Giwa after a motion to kick-start the session was moved by the Leader of the House, Rep. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa Doguwa.
The Speaker said “Go well, Mr Giwa, and remember that you are an ambassador of the House of Representatives wherever you may find yourself.”
He added: “I find him to be a clerk par excellence, a man of integrity, who is without reproach.”
Gbajabiamila also said: “No member has any ill-will or anything negative to say about the outgoing clerk, Mr Patrick Giwa.”
The House adjourned plenary till Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 following a motion for adjournment moved by the leader of the House, Rep. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa and seconded by Rep. Ajibola Muraina .
