An official of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), identified as Aliyu Imran has been murdered in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Imran an Assistant Superintendent of Narcortic1, was burnt alive by an angry mob in Gadan-Gayan area of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, after a vehicle being pursued by the deceased and some of his colleagues was involved in accidents that resulted to deaths.

According to report, the officer and his colleagues were pursuing a suspected drug dealer when the suspect in an attempt to escape reversed his vehicle killing three people on the spot.

Imran made an attempt to calm the mob when he was attacked. He was stabbed while his colleagues called for backup.

A brave police officer rushed him to the hospital, the mob followed him to the hospital dragged him out and burnt him alive.

He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
