About three Islamiya (Islamic School) students have been killed by Boko Haram terrorists in Yobe State.
The attack took place Yesterday Sunday in Geidam local government area of the state.
According to sources, the attack occurred around 4:00 PM at Wadiya Islamic school.
The source explained that the terrorists stormed the school area on motorcycles and opened fire indiscriminately at the school, killing three students instantly, while another was able to escape with a gunshot wound.
The source, who claimed annonimity said that the insurgents also abducted a deputy Imam of a mosque near the school, who was later released.
He revealed that the terrorists had demanded from the abducted person to identify government properties for them to destroy during the abduction.
Details about the identities of the victims remain unclear, but the incident occurred after the victims had completed their Qur’anic studies and were awaiting official discharge from the school.
Similarly, there is adequate information on if the terrorist had destroyed any facility during the attack.
