“Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

Exodus 12:14 (KJV)

When God prepared to unleash the angel of death upon the enemies of His people, He required a protective sign to shield His followers from the angel’s wrath. This sign was the blood of a sacrificial lamb, symbolizing innocence and divine protection. The blood marked the Israelites’ homes, ensuring that the angel of death would pass over them. This act of divine protection is echoed in the scripture, “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm” (1 Chronicles 16:22, KJV). The blood, having divine authority, declared the inhabitants of those homes untouchable.

Blood holds profound significance in spiritual matters. Decisions and judgments in the spiritual realm are often influenced by the voices of blood. In Genesis 4:10 (KJV), God says, “The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.” This illustrates that blood speaks on behalf of or against individuals, impacting their destinies. Often, we are unaware of the spiritual battles fought over our lives, but the truth remains that voices of blood are always speaking in the spiritual realm.

The authority of these voices derives from the blood they represent. In the Old Testament, blood sacrifices were necessary for atonement and establishing altars. Blood symbolizes life, and its sacrifice serves to purify and consecrate. Conversely, the wrongful shedding of blood signifies death and brings a curse upon the perpetrators. This is why innocent bloodshed incurs divine wrath. Blood speaks continually, delivering judgment on the guilty, but for those in Christ Jesus, we are assured victory. Revelation 12:11 (KJV) declares, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

No amount of any other blood sacrifice can compare to the blood of Jesus Christ, for His blood alone is excellently pure, without blemish to vanquish and nullify the voice of judgment or condemnation from any other blood. 1 Peter 1:19 as “a lamb without blemish or defect,” provides true atonement and redemption. The sorcery, enchantment and divination of the evil ones becomes automatically of no effect because of the blood of Jesus Christ that speaks for us.

When evil seeks to harm a child of God covered by the blood of Jesus, it cannot succeed. The power of the blood of Jesus surpasses any other, making us untouchable to spiritual attacks. The sacrifices made by idol worshipers, witch doctors, occultic rituals, or those involved in dark practices cannot compare to the power of Jesus’ blood. Hebrews 9:12-14 (NLT) states, “With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever… Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God.”

As believers in Christ, you are a chosen generation and a royal priesthood. 1 Peter 2:9 declares, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” This signifies that God has set you apart for a unique purpose, to serve and worship Him. Revelation 1:6 further affirms, “He has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father.” Embrace your divine calling with the honor and responsibility it entails.

The Unmatched Power of Jesus’ Blood

The blood of Jesus Christ is unlike any other. It is not just a symbol but the actual substance of our redemption. His blood does not simply cover sins; it eradicates them, providing a complete and eternal atonement. The blood of animals, used in the Old Testament, was a temporary measure that needed to be repeated. In contrast, Jesus’ sacrifice was once and for all, securing our eternal redemption and purifying our consciences from sinful deeds, allowing us to worship the living God without guilt or condemnation (Hebrews 9:12-14, NLT).

The Protective Power of the Blood

The blood of Jesus acts as a divine barrier against evil. When we are covered by His blood, no weapon formed against us can prosper (Isaiah 54:17, KJV). This protection is not merely a metaphor but a spiritual reality. The blood speaks on our behalf in the spiritual realm, declaring us righteous and untouchable by evil forces. Hebrews 12:24 (KJV) emphasizes that Jesus’ blood speaks better things than that of Abel, underscoring its superiority and protective power.

The Blood Speaks of Better Things

The blood of Jesus speaks of forgiveness, redemption, and reconciliation with God. Unlike the blood of Abel, which cried out for justice and vengeance, Jesus’ blood cries out for mercy and grace. This powerful intercession ensures that we are continually covered and protected. It transforms our relationship with God, enabling us to come boldly before His throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16, KJV).

Our Response: Living Under the Covering of the Blood

As believers, our duty is to remain under the covering of Jesus’ blood through a life of righteousness and faith. The blood of Jesus is pure, without blemish, and it makes us guiltless before God. It nullifies the judgments of the evil ones, ensuring that we remain untouchable. Isaiah 54:17 (KJV) promises, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

In conclusion, the blood of Jesus is not only powerful but uniquely efficacious in making you, the child of God through the righteousness in Christ Jesus, untouchable to the devices of the evil ones. Its significance surpasses all other sacrifices, offering us protection, purification, and an unbreakable covenant with God.
