Senator Ned Nwoko has stirred fresh reactions online after saying he feels “sorry for men with just one wife”, claiming that polygamy provides men with greater “stability and balance in marriage.
According to him, men are naturally built to handle more than one partner if they can manage it responsibly.

Nwoko who is married to Regina Daniels and other wives, added that polygamy reduces infidelity and offers a structured family system when properly managed.
The Delta North lawmaker made the statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Sunday October 26, where he was question about the ongoing marital crisis with his actress wife, Regina Daniels.
When asked how he manages to handle four wives – something most men find nearly impossible – Nwoko paused before responding confidently:
“That’s a different topic for another day. But Yes, everyman should do that. Imagine telling you to stand on one leg – It’s difficult. But when you stand on two, three, or four, you’re more balanced. That’s the example I give. I feel sorry for those who have one wife because it’s difficult to stand on one leg”.
When the interviewer pointed that the Bible doesn’t support polygamy, the senator quickly replied, “The Old Testament does. I’m a man of faith. But that’s not what we’re here for”.
Asked If he had any regrets about his marital choices, Nwoko firmly said No.
“No, I don’t have any regret. I would do the same thing again. That’s the way it should be -you should marry who you want to marry”.
The senator also denied allegations of domestic violence made against him by Regina Daniels, who recently shared emotional posts suggesting that she had suffered abuse.
“Come on, you know I’m not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them and my kids”, he said.
His comment come just few hours after Regina Daniels flaunted a new mansion on Instagram, amid growing reports of separation.
The Nollywood actress had shared photos and videos of her new property with the caption:
“In my house, I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head, so I got this for me and my wife”.
Her post followed a viral video clip from October 18, showing her tears outside her Abuja home, lamenting that she could no longer endure the alleged violence.
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my own house, I am a Queen. I can’t stand the violence – It’s too much”, she said in a viral footage.
The couple’s six-year marriage -once regarded as most celebrated and one of the most talked about unions in Nollywood durof their age difference -appears to have hit a rough patch, with both sides now publicly addressing the issues in different tones.
