Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle said he got the 344 students abducted from Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State just by a phone call.
“When we established contact with them, I persuaded the bandits to release the students unharmed and so they did”.
This is not the first time we facilitate the release of our people without payment of ransom”.
Ask anybody, we don’t pay the bandits a dime. What we do is to extend an olive branch to them because they also want to live in peace” Governor Matawalle said.
