The member representing Langtang North and South Federal Constituency in Plateau state, Hon. Beni Lar, has assured people of the constituency of her determination to consolidate on the achievements recorded in the last 16 years of her representation. Lar, who was reacting to her victory at the just concluded National Assembly elections, gave the assurance in a statement in Jos at the weekend.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Lar winner of the last February 25 election in Langtang North and South Federal Constituency having met the requirements by polling 42080 votes defeating the executive chairman of Langtang South local gpvernment, V B Venman and former minister of youths and sports developmen, Soltomon Dalung, candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Social Democratic Party (SDP) who polled 21,345 and 3,369 votes respectively.
While appreciating her constituents for the confident reposed in her by re-electing her for the fifth time.
“It is a great honor and privilege to be given this opportunity, I will continue to listen to your concerns, engage in meaningful dialogue, make decisions, and push bills that reflect your needs and priorities. Together we shall continue to make progress and build a better future for us all”, She said.
