  • I did not know that the non-payment of Staff salaries then was entirely the fault of IBC Management” – VIVIAN

Following the heat of campaign for a new leadership of NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WONEN JOURNALISTS NAWOJ in Imo state NIGERIA, its former Chairman and a contestant, Vivian OTTI has recalled her odeal with Imo state government under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodinma and decided to make an open APPOLOGY.

Our source told 9News Nigeria in Owerri that Vivian OTTI was the former NAWOJ Chairman and still contesting for a continuity of same position in Imo state.

Recall that she made a alleged false Publication against His Excellency Hope Uzodinma’s APC Government something in the year 2020 which sporadically went viral all over the airwaves.

It may also interest our readers to know that the Investigation on this matter she presented led to her suspension from IBC as a staff.

Meanwhile her recent contest and closeness to her Excellency the first lady of Imo state, Barr. Chioma Uzodinma and to the same Government she talk down then as the NAWAOJ Chairman has led to this APOLOGY she rendered to the governor to have an easy landing and possibly clinch back his position as the NAWAOJ Chairman.

FINALLY VIVIAN OTTI RENDERS OPEN APOLOGY TO IMO STATE GOVERNMENT FOR HER FALSE PUBLICATION

According to her, she was quoted as thus: “It was about this time of the year in 2020(heat of Covid 19) that I made a post through Nwamkpa Modestus my brother, the SA on print media to His Excellency Dist. Senator Hope UZODINMA for payment of salaries of IBC staff. The post nearly gave sinners and righteous free tickets to heaven. Some unknown penmen feasted on it and finished the job as they desired for themselves and not for the purpose and aim of the plea.I want to still use this medium to put some things clear”

“It was later cleared that the delay in payment of IBC staff salaries them was as a result of failure by the then management of IBC to supply the government with the requisite data requested by the government”

“From the bottom of my heart, my intention was never to DISPARAGE THE GOVERNMENT as misconstrued by some person who felt it was an opportunity to visit government house to seek for one favour or the other”

“Every of my actions then was borne out of hardship, especially at the heat of the Covid 19, coupled with NURSING a baby”

“Your Excellency sir in everything that has happened, including devilish gossips by some disgruntled persons, who felt it was an opportunity to visit the government house, please take everything out of your heart and forgive your little sister”

“I am here to contribute my own good ideas in any form I can to make your administration SUCCEED”

However, from her statements above, VIVIAN OTTI has not forgotten the good companionship she has with Imo first lady and used this medium to thank Barr. CHIOMA UZODINMA for sponsoring the recent NAWOJ trip to Minna, Niger STATE during her 2020 Delegates conference.

The original copy of her APPOLOGY reads as thus:

Your Excellency,
Gov. Hope Uzodinma.
Executive Governor, Imo State,
Douglas House.
Owerri,
Imo State.

Your Excellency,

LETTER OF APOLOGY.

I hereby write to apologise to Your Excellency over a post I made on Facebook about this time last year through my brother, your SA on print media, Nwamkpa Modestus, wherein I pleaded to you for the payment of the salaries of IBC Staff.

Your Excellency, it was wrong on my side to have made that embarrassing post to your government, especially when I did not know that the non payment of Staff salaries then was entirely the fault of IBC Management that did not carry out simple government directives as it relates to payment of salaries.

I hereby, with all sense of humility, APOLOGISE, to Your Excellency, for all the embarrassment and inconveniences this mistake may have caused your government in general and Your Excellency, in particular.

I wish to apologise, too, to my senior brother, the Hon. Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba, who supervises IBC, my place of primary assignment.

I am very sorry for that publication, promising that such ugly situation will not happen again.

Thank you, Your Excellency.

Your junior sister.
