Ideato Progressive Forum have assured Governor Uzodimma of total solidarity to succeed beyond 2023.
Eze Ndi Igbo Lagos, Eze Dr. Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu, Osolo of Isolo made this declaration in Lagos while addressing the Ideato Nation.
NWACHUKWU has described the administration of Gov. Hope Uzodimma as a government with good tidings for Imo people.
The members of the group led by their Director General, Chief Johnbest Udoye, visited him after he was named a patron of IDPF.
Eze Nwachukwu, the Ochiagha of Obodoukwu, said that he obliged to be the patron of IDPF because the ideals of Ideato Progressive Forum is in tandem with another organization, “Hope United Movement, Hope is Assured”, a group that promotes the cause of good governance.
He noted that IDPF is made up of people who have grassroots appeal, goodwill and capacity to market the good policies and programmes of Gov. Hope Uzodinma’s administration to the grassroots.
The Eze Ndi Igbo Lagos noted that the governor’s second tenure is assured if he continues with the provision of good road network, power, adequate health facilities in Ideato nation and the 27 local government areas of the state.
He maintained that power resides with the people.
According to him, Gov. Uzodimma is his ally of many years known to talk less and is focused with a listening ear.
He maintained that the governor is doing his best but urged him to do more.
Eze Nwachukwu called on Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs to adopt IDPF as the group is sincere and germane.
Speaking at the event, the group’s Director-General, Chief Johnbest Udoye,(Akwudoroeze), said that the choice of Eze Dr Nwachukwu as a patron of IDPF was well thought out.
He said that the patron is experienced and has the capacity to perform the functions required of a patron.
According to him, he has a wide reach and has supported many indigenes of Ideato nation both politically and economically.
Chief Udoye said that IDPF is strongly behind Governor Hope Uzodimma and APC because the governor is a man who fulfills his promises.
He lauded the quality of infrastructure particularly roads that Governor Uzodimma is building.
In his remarks, the Secretary-General of IDPF, Engr. Anthony Uhegbu, said the group is determined to offer its best to APC in the state.
He said that Gov. Uzodimma is a people-orientated governor who is focused and doing his best to steady the ship of governance in the state.
He opined that IDPF has capacity to deliver APC in every area in Ideato nation.
The former Imo State House of Assembly candidate however advised the governor to protect his own people who will in turn offer him protection.
Similarly, the Director of Contact and Mobilization, Hon. Donatus Obiako (Osisibutara ihie Akaokwa) said it is difficult to identify with IDPF and fail election in Ideato.
Hon Obiako explained that those who made up the group are working with the grassroots both in politics and out of politics and are therefore in good standing to them.
He thanked Gov. Uzodimma for doing a good job in the state.
Those who graced the occasion included 27 ward coordinators, woman leaders, secretaries, LGA executives of Ideato North and South and national executive/central working committee of IDPF.
Dr. Nwachukwu, who is also an industrialist made the assertion recently when he hosted members of Ideato Progressive Forum (IDPF) in his home.
