Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has dealt a deadly blow at his Anambra State counterpart, Governor Chukwuma Soludo in a statement indirectly telling him to mind his business.
Governor Wike invited Peter Obi to commission the Nkpolu-Oroworukwo Flyover in Rivers State as a way to extend a hand of friendship and support for the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour party.
In his welcome speech, Wike commended Peter Obi over his performance while serving as governor of Anambra state and told him not to worry about those who try to give him a bad name out of envy.
Wike said “You have worked very well in Anambra. But some people because of the level you are now, they are envying you, don’t worry, that is how it is.”
In statements ostensibly directed to Governor Soludo regarding his recent verbal attacks on Peter Obi’s presidential candidacy, Wike said: “I have always told people when you’re given an opportunity to serve, use it and showcase what you can do. Stop criticizing somebody who has already left. You have been given the opportunity now, show it. I’m a professor, professor well. I’m a doctor, doctor well, I’m a lawyer, lawyer well. I’m a mechanic. mechanic well.”
“I invited you here because I know you worked in Anambra.”
“They envy you in your state because of where you are now. Don’t mind them.
