First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has praised the Igbo people, describing them as “very nice people”.
Tinubu made the comments on Thursday during her visit to Anambra State for the launch of the National Community Food Bank in the South-East.
The First Lady said her best friend in secondary school was an Igbo girl, adding that she continued to have Igbo friends and associates throughout her secondary and tertiary education.
“Igbos are very nice people. My best friend in secondary school was an Igbo girl. In high school and tertiary institution, they were all Igbo because they said I look like an Igbo girl,” she said.
Her remarks come as she participated in the launch of the National Community Food Bank initiative in the South-East, a project aimed at supporting vulnerable communities and improving access to food.
