The Vice President Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Olatunji Abioye, has admonished couples to not run away from marital issues, but to deal with them, and make their marriage work.

The Senior Pastor of Living Faith Church, Goshen City Abuja, In his sermon posted on his Instagram page, the preacher said:

“No matter how long you stay in courtship, you can never know everything about your spouse. Till today, after more than 35 years of marriage, I am still discovering new things about her, and she is still discovering new things about me. But, there are no regrets.

“You might not see what you thought you would see, but you should balance it with what you see and mix them together, for all things works together for the good of them that love the Lord.

“Take it as a journey, for when you are in a journey, you encounter bumps and gallops. But, would that make you stop the journey? No. The journey continues.

“The day your wife does not remember to put salt in the soup, just twist your tongue and remember the days of good salt, instead of fighting because of one day without salt. The day it look scare that your husband couldn’t give you the standard he used to give to you, remember the days of excess”.

The cleric also advised women to be conservative and keep some of what they get from their husbands in the days of plenty.

He said, “As a wife, when you have excess, reserve it for the day when there might not be much, so you can balance it up. That will impress your husband, and he can commend you and prepare to give you something better.”

“It is a journey, make it exciting and not frustrating. Don’t throw in the towel, don’t give up because of challenges, don’t run away because of issues. Rather, embrace your home and make it work”.
